Mariners are advised that on or around Monday 17th February 2025 contractors working on the deconstruction of the Tideway Tunnel Chambers Wharf site will commence removal of the side walls of the cofferdam using a Jack-up barge (JUB).
The below chartlet shows the works area and the approximate extent of barges moored alongside (in red).
Works will involve the use of a JUB to the western end of the cofferdam which will extend beyond the LLAU (magenta line), a spudded barge to the front of the cofferdam and 1500t & 500t supply barges, which will occasionally be moored outside the LLAU but never overnight. Supply barges will be manoeuvred using the tugs SWS ENDURANCE, HANS and SUFFOLK.
Vessels are requested to be mindful of the nature of the works and to be aware of vessels proceeding to and from the works.
All works vessels will maintain a listening watch of London VTS on VHF Channel 14.
