Mariners are advised that commencing on Monday 9th June 2025, and for a period of five days, diving operations will take place at Calor Gas Jetty on Canvey Island as shown on the below chartlet:

Workboat ‘ASSASSIN’ will be in attendance and will be displaying the following signals while diving is taking place: 

  • By day, International Code Flags ‘Romeo Yankee (RY)’, ‘Alpha (A)’ and a red flag near the diver’s point of entry into the water.  
  • By night, illuminated rigid replicas of the International Code Flags ‘Romeo Yankee (RY)’ and ‘Alpha (A)’.  

Any requirements to proceed with caution or at slow speed, will be made in accordance with the procedures set out in the Port of London Authority’s Port Information Guide, under ‘London VTS’, ‘Section 4’ with the International Code Flags ‘Romeo Yankee’ displayed, which are illustrated below.

Diver point of entry in water

Any requirements to proceed with caution or at slow speed, will be made in accordance with the procedures set out in the Port of London Authority’s Port Information Guide, under ‘Speed Reductions'. 

Further details will be broadcast as needed by London VTS on VHF channels 68.
