Sustainability and Innovation Showcase

During London International Shipping Week (LISW) 2025, the PLA presented a set-piece exhibition celebrating and showcasing the sustainability and innovation flowing through in the Port of London.
Hosted aboard Driftwoods, a stunning reimagining of the modern riverboat, this showcase offered businesses a prestigious platform to share their pioneering products, services, and vision for the future with a senior, global maritime audience – all while enjoying lunch and a tour of the iconic River Thames through central London.
Speakers included the PLA's Chief Executive, Robin Mortimer and Lola Fadina, Director of Maritime at the Department for Transport.
Also present at the event were the winners of the Thames Visionaries competition, run by the PLA in partnership with the Royal Museums Greenwich. 3D models of the winning entries by Roshan Tantrige and Andrea Ross were created and showcased at the event.

Thames Marine Services
Thames Marine Services was founded by Nicholas and Robert Dwan in 2015.
The company is a market leader for supplying fuels, oils, lubricants and engineering services on the River Thames, for both commercial companies and private boat owners.
With a fleet of eight vessels, the business is fully operational from Teddington to the Estuary.
We are very proud of our cheerful, friendly team, who always aim to offer a reliable, professional and helpful service, putting our customers first and proactively ensuring our service is simple and easy to use.
Port Skills & Safety Ltd
Port Skills and Safety Ltd is the professional safety and skills membership organisation for ports. We work in collaboration with our members to promote best practice and innovation, develop guidance and deliver services to drive continuous improvement in safety and ensure a highly skilled workforce.
Our vision is to drive the ports sector to become one of the safest places to work, with opportunities for individual growth and collective success. We drive positive change in skills and safety across the entire port sector.
Thames Skills Academy
The Thames Skills Academy was founded in 2016 by the Port of London Authority, Transport for London, Tideway and the Company of Lightermen & Watermen.
The not-for-profit organisation brings together those organisations with a direct and long-term interest in maintaining safety on the tidal Thames and in raising the standard of skills and the competency of individuals working commercially in the Inland Waterways and port operations sectors within the Port of London and wider Thames Estuary.
