The Port of London Authority (PLA) responds to the report received today from the Inquiry’s Chair

 “We have today received from the Marine Management Organisation the report from the Chair of the public inquiry held earlier this year into the PLA’s proposed Harbour Revision Order which will modernise the nearly 60-year-old legislation that governs the Port of London Authority’s operations. 

“We welcome the Chair’s report and his recommendations, which we are now reviewing in detail. Subject to final consultation, we look forward to the HRO being made early in 2026. This will help us to implement new safety measures, modernise regulation, and continue to protect and improve the tidal Thames for all.”
