FAQs

+
Who is the event open to?
This event is for all PLA Staff, their family & Friends and PLA Business associates.
+
What time do I need to be at the Venue?
You should aim to arrive for around 18:00. We will start seating people around 18:30, and food will be served at 19:00.
+
What do I get for my money?
Tickets cover the entire evening including food & entertainment. It does not cover drinks or raffle tickets.
+
What if I want to stay at the hotel?

You can book a hotel room using the provided link which will offer you 10% discount on the daily rate and includes breakfast. You may be able to get the room for cheaper using a third part provider, but please check the T&Cs as these often don’t include breakfast and a non-refundable cancellation policy. t

Please note if using the link provided, then you will need to ‘EDIT’ the dates as the offer is tailored for 2 days either side of the event. Some people like to make a weekend of it and stay more than 1 night.

+
Can I use the hotel car park?

ALL cars MUST be registered with the hotel. If you are only there for the event, parking is free.

Otherwise its £7.50 per day if you are staying overnight at the hotel.

+
Can I use the hotel gym and/or pool?
If you are staying at the hotel, then yes. Day visitors are not permitted.
+
What if I can't make the event?

A full refund will be issued if you cancel before the 23:59 24th October. Unfortunately there will be no refund if you cancel after this date.

The reason is we have to submit menu choices and pay the hotel in full 30 days before the event.

+
What is the dress code?

The dress code is ‘Black tie’. This means a tuxedo or dinner jacket, usually with a bow tie. Ladies traditionally wear long dresses.

Note: we encourage colour at our events. Wearing a black tuxedo with a black tie is not compulsory.

+
What time will it finish?
The Hall bar and Band will finish at midnight. There is a reception bar which will remain open until 01:00. It must close after that due to licensing rules.
+
Can I take photos?
Absolutely. The more photos the better. We will endeavour to get a professional photographer for the event but to be confirmed.

Other useful info

  • If you intend on wearing high heels, it is recommended you have a pair of flats or sparkly flip flops for dancing. Dancing in bare feet is discouraged for obvious reasons.
  • If you drop gravy onto your shirt, do not attempt to clear it. It will only get worse.
