From Tuesday 4th November to Thursday 6th November 2025, contractors will be conducting a survey of Kew Rail Bridge from a vessel. These works will take place between the hours of 1000 and 1500 and are expected to last up to 3 days.
The operations will involve a non-intrusive survey by boat and grab sampling. During survey operations the vessel will make repeated upstream and downstream passages through bridge arches and with an average survey speed of <2 knots. The vessel will not stop or hold position within any arch or the authorised channel at any time.
River users should navigate with caution, maintaining a proper lookout at all times.
The vessel involved will be chartered from Livett’s Launches Ltd, will monitor VHF Channel 14 and inform London VTS at the beginning and end of each period of work.
