Vessel Draught Information

Recently there have been several occasions when information of a vessels draft submitted to the PLA via PISCES has been incorrect or not updated in reasonable time.

This can have adverse effects on Safety of Navigation and situational awareness. For example, it may lead to an inappropriately qualified pilot attending for an act or a vessel being inaccurately assessed for passage planning purposes.

Please be reminded, that the voyage draught is critical data to the PLA when ordering a Pilot. In instances of where this information is incorrectly provided or frequently changes there is an increased likelihood of causing a delay in the pilot provision for these vessels.
