Vessels over 40 meters in length overall (LOA) intending to proceed upriver to swing in the Upper Pool (between Wappingness and London Bridge) without calling at a berth or mid-stream mooring, must first gain harbourmaster approval.
The agent or Master of the vessel must provide the Harbourmaster by email ([email protected]) at least five working days before the swing:
The Harbourmaster will determine whether the operation can be facilitated and, where possible, grant approval. Such an operation shall not take place without harbourmaster approval. The harbourmasters decision is final.
This excludes intra-port vessels with an approved port passage plan.
