Mariners are advised that contractors working on the deconstruction of the Tideway Tunnel Chambers Wharf site continue with works to remove the cofferdam. Works are expected to be ongoing for approximately 5 months and will at times involve the use of supply barges moored outside the charted LLAU (shown in magenta on PLA charts).
The below chartlet shows the works area in red:
Works will involve the use of a JUB moored inside the cofferdam works, a spudded barge to the front of the cofferdam and 1500t & 500t supply barges. Supply barges will never be moored outside the LLAU overnight.
Supply barges will be manoeuvred using the tugs SWS ENDURANCE, HANS and SUFFOLK.
Vessels are requested to be mindful of the nature of the works and to be aware of vessels proceeding to and from the works.
All works vessels will maintain a listening watch of London VTS on VHF Channel 14.
