Mariners are advised that, a Speed Reduction has been implemented in vicinity of Grosvenor Dock Entrance, Nine Elms Reach as indicated by the red box on the chartlet below:
The outer lock gates to Grosvenor Dock are in an unstable condition and a speed reduction is in place between Victoria Rail Bridge and Chelsea Bridge to mitigate any further damage that may be caused by wash from vessels.
The requirements to proceed with caution or at slow speed are in accordance with the procedure set out in the Port of London Authority’s Port Information Guide, under ‘Speed Reductions’ with the International Code Flags ‘Romeo Yankee’ displayed, which are illustrated below.
