On or about Sunday 8th February 2026 contractors working on behalf of network rail will commence diving investigation and survey works at Cannon Street Rail Bridge. Diving operations will take place within the bridge arches and during the diving operations the arches will be closed to navigation. These works are expected to take place overnight and last up to 5 nights.
To accommodate these works, the arches of Cannon Street Rail Bridge will be closed to navigation as follows:

Requirements to proceed with caution or at slow speed will be made in accordance with the procedure set out in the Port of London Authority’s Port Information Guide, under ‘Speed Reductions’, with the International Code Flags ‘Romeo Yankee’ displayed, which are illustrated below.”

Mariners transiting Cannon Street Rail Bridge are requested to pass with extreme caution. Mariners must ensure that wash and draw off are kept to a minimum when passing the site.
A Safety Boat will be in attendance throughout these operations and will be maintaining a listening watch on VHF Channel 14.
