Mariners are advised that, on or about Monday 15th September, contractors instructed by Oikos Storage Ltd. will commence urgent repair works to equipment on Jetty No. 2. 

These works will involve erection of scaffolding, lifting operations involving a crane barge and personnel working on the waterline. Tugs, workboats, barges and safety boats are expected to be in attendance on these works. 

At various times, barges connected with the works on Jetty No. 2 may be shifted and moored to the north side of Jetty No. 1 and scaffolding may be erected on both No. 1 & 2 Jetties.

Requirements to proceed with caution or at slow speed will be made in accordance with the procedures set out in the Port of London Authority’s Port Information Guide, under ‘London VTS’, ‘Section 4’ with the International Code Flags ‘Romeo Yankee’, which are illustrated below, displayed.

The display of these signals will be in addition to any lights or shapes required under local regulations and the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea. 

Further details will be broadcast as appropriate by London VTS on VHF channel 68 & 69.
