This Notice supersedes and replaces L60-25, which is hereby cancelled.
Mariners are advised that, on or about Thursday 11th September, contractors instructed by the operators of Erith Oil Works / Albion Jetty will commence works to repair and replace damaged sections of the Jetty structure. Works are expected to last approximately 2 weeks, with operations being undertaken between the hours of 0600hrs to 1800hrs, Monday to Saturday.

During the works, a Crane Barge and workboats are expected to be on site; additional small craft may also be in attendance. These works will involve lifting operations and personnel working on the waterline.
Scaffolding, which is already in situ, is expected to be remain in place until the completion of repair works. Scaffolding overhanging the river is required to be marked with yellow & black coloured tape and lit with white lights by night.
Any requirements to proceed with caution or at slow speed, will be made in accordance with the procedures set out in the Port of London Authority’s Port Information Guide, under ‘London VTS’, ‘Section 4’ with the International Code Flags ‘Romeo Yankee’ displayed, which are illustrated below.
The display of these signals will be in addition to any lights or shapes required under local regulations and the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea.
