Mariners are advised that, on or about 17th June 2025, works are expected to commence at LaFarge (Tarmac) Jetty in Long Reach. The below chartlet shows the general location, indicated by red markings: -
These works comprise removal and repair / replacement of various ladders and fenders on the jetty face, and will involve lifting operations and personnel working on the waterline. A crane barge is expected to be alongside the jetty for these works; and tugs, workboats and small craft may be in attendance.
Any requirements to proceed with caution or at slow speed, will be made in accordance with the procedures set out in the Port of London Authority’s Port Information Guide, under ‘London VTS’, ‘Section 4’ with the International Code Flags ‘Romeo Yankee’ displayed, which are illustrated below.

The display of these signals will be in addition to any lights or shapes required under local regulations and the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea.
Personnel are expected to work 0700–1800, Monday to Friday only and these works are planned to be completed no later than 27th June 2025.
Further details will be broadcast as needed by London VTS on VHF channels 68.
