POTENTIAL HAZARDS TO NAVIGATION: Mariners are advised that, potential hazards to navigation have been reported to the Port Of London Authority. At approximately 17:30 on the 6th January 2025, 15 wooden timber beams have been observed by CCTV to be covered by the tide and float away from Putney Drawdock. The wooden beams have the following dimensions: 5 metres length, 1 metre width and 150mm thick. The current location of the wooden beams are unknown. Mariners should navigate with additional caution, maintaining a sharp lookout. Any identified position of the described hazards should be reported to London VTS on VHF Channel 14 or 68. Further details may be broadcast by London VTS on VHF Channel 14 and 68.

Mariners are advised that, on or about Monday 20th January, contractors will commence water injection dredging operations in the Bellmouth of King George V docks, Galleons Reach. Dredging operations are expected to last for 2 days and will be conducted on ebb tides only. 

The general location of the works is indicated by the red area on the chartlet below: 

  

Dredging operations will be conducted by the vessel AQUADELTA

Requirements to proceed with caution or at slow speed, will be made in accordance with the procedures set out in the Port of London Authority’s Port Information Guide, under ‘London VTS’, ‘Section 4’ with the International Code Flags ‘Romeo Yankee’ displayed, which are illustrated below.

The vessel is required to display lights and signals as per the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea and maintain a listening watch on VHF channel 68  

The display of these signals will be in addition to any other lights or shapes required under local regulations and the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea. 

Further details will be broadcast by London VTS on VHF Channel 14.
