Regulatory Functions and Third Party Developments

 

The exercise of the PLA’s regulatory functions, the provision of comments on third party development proposals and input to local and national policy issues all provide opportunities to influence positively the protection of the river environment, including biodiversity. This table sets out, by Department or Section, the principal ways in which the PLA can exert such influence.

Consideration of applications for third party capital and maintenance dredging and approval of licences
